Four Weddings & One Event in One Day

Four Weddings & One Event in One Day

Behind the Scenes of 25th October 2025

Some dates are simply meant to be.

And for many couples across Melbourne, 25th October was the date to say “I do.”

While we are a dedicated team of four at Dream Weddings and Events, this particular Saturday proved that with the right planning, preparation and teamwork, even the biggest days can run seamlessly.

On this one remarkable day, we delivered styling for four weddings and one milestone celebration across Melbourne - including one set-up outside the metro area.

Here’s how it all unfolded.

The Planning Behind the Magic

From the outside, event styling looks effortless - beautifully set tables, perfectly placed florals, statement installations that appear as if they simply belong.

Behind the scenes? It’s precision planning.

In the weeks leading up to 25th October, our warehouse was in full preparation mode:

  • Detailed packing schedules

  • Equipment allocations for each location

  • Multiple logistics calls

  • Carefully timed run sheets

  • Vehicles loaded with military-level organisation

  • Packing lists checked, double-checked, and triple-checked

There were late nights and very early mornings - but that’s what it takes to deliver seamless results across five separate events.

When you’re styling multiple weddings in one day, there’s no room for guesswork. Every detail must be accounted for well in advance.

Teresa & Ricardo – The Pier, Port Melbourne

Our day technically began the afternoon before.

Thanks to the incredible team at Pier Port Melbourne, Sylvia and Nick were granted early access to set up Teresa & Ricardo’s reception the day prior. This allowed us to carefully install and refine every element without time pressure - ensuring the space felt polished, elegant and ready for celebration.

Having cooperative venues makes an enormous difference on high-volume days like this, and we’re always grateful for collaborative partnerships.

Georgia & Corto – Carlton Gardens

Next came Georgia & Corto’s stunning ceremony at the iconic Carlton Gardens, set beneath the large Elm tree.

Ash and her helper Allan took charge of this setup, adhering closely to the timeline and permit guidelines. Working in public spaces always comes with added pressure, and on this day they had just one hour to unload and set up 50 chairs, two beautiful deconstructed arches, trestle tables and the welcome sign. Talk about a time crunch!

Despite the tight schedule, Ash and Allan moved efficiently and with precision. But outdoor ceremonies always bring an unpredictable factor - Melbourne weather - and thankfully, they completed the pack-down just in time to beat the rain.

Timing, teamwork, and quick thinking ensured the ceremony space was flawless and ready for guests’ arrival, creating a beautiful and seamless experience for Georgia & Corto.

Paige & Riley – Melbourne Zoo

Bright and early, I was on the road heading to Melbourne Zoo to style Paige & Riley’s wedding reception. With a full day ahead, preparation was key - and thankfully, everything had been carefully organised in advance.

Early access to the venue allowed for a smooth and efficient setup. With clear planning and a structured timeline, the installation came together seamlessly and right on schedule. It’s always rewarding to see a space transform so effortlessly when the groundwork has been done properly.

With the reception complete and everything in place as planned, I was able to head off to the next celebration of the day feeling confident and right on track.

Silvana & Aldo – 25th Wedding Anniversary at Arundel Farm Estate

Later that afternoon, after picking up my helper Cherry, we made our way to Arundel Farm Estate to begin the transformation for Silvana & Aldo’s 25th Wedding Anniversary.

On the drive, I filled Cherry in on all the details of the set-up - and it turned out she had actually been to this venue just the week before! That was a huge help, as there’s nothing more daunting than navigating a new space for the first time.

In true Melbourne fashion, the rain began as we drove, and by the time we arrived, it was coming down in sheets. Thankfully, the venue staff and coordinator welcomed us inside and even made us coffees while we waited - a small gesture that meant the world! Once the rain eased, Cherry and I got to work unloading the car.

Silvana & Aldo wanted just a small touch of styling for the beautiful space. We created fresh floral arrangements for the tables, set up our classic gold open metal arch, and, of course, we can’t forget the welcome sign!

Milestone celebrations carry a special kind of significance - honouring years of love, commitment and shared memories. With a clear plan and everything prepped in advance, the setup ran smoothly, and the space came together beautifully: warm, refined, and perfectly fitting for such a meaningful occasion.

Rebecca & Colin – Private Property Wedding in Dayelsford

Meanwhile, Sylvia and Nick were tackling one of our largest installations yet – a private property wedding in Daylesford.

They were on the road bright and early, well before the rest of the team, with a long drive and a big day ahead. Their first stop was the bride’s Airbnb to drop off her stunning fresh bridal florals, ensuring everything was ready for the ceremony.

Sylvia and Nick were then off to the private property to get the day started!

They got started with setting up the ceremony and then quickly moved to setting up the décor in the marquee.

Private property events require an entirely different level of logistics. There’s no built-in infrastructure, no venue team, and often tighter timeframes. Every element must be transported, installed and positioned with precision.

It was a significant setup – and one we’re all incredibly proud of executing seamlessly.

Small Team. Big Capability.

While we may be a team of four, days like 25th October 2025 are proof that experience, preparation and passion make all the difference.

Multiple events in one day don’t happen by chance - they’re the result of:

  • Strategic scheduling

  • Detailed logistical planning

  • Strong vendor relationships

  • Clear communication

  • And a team that truly cares about delivering excellence

Each couple and client received the same level of care, attention and refinement - because no matter how busy the day, every celebration deserves to feel like the only one.
